Recently, I fell down a rabbit hole, and hit my head really hard. I am now in a coma. Send help.

I stayed up past 11 last night, drawing this. RIP my already-shattered sleep schedule 😩😩😩 Bu'yeah, I think it was while I was doing some French class meme project that I saw these images of this strange 3D clown lady. At some point, I gave into the curiosity, and watched the pilot. The pilot was INCREDIBLE. I then found out that there was a whole studio making indie 3D-animated shows, so I watched their other show, Murder Drones. It is like nothing I have ever seen before, and it is surreal and ridiculous, and I love it so much.

So that's how I hit my head really hard! Now let's talk about how I even frigging drew these, because I never talk about that anymore but I'm supposed to. It was very hard 😫😫😫😫😫

Usually, I start drawing faces by drawing what's sort of the "frame" of the face—the outline of the forehead, cheeks, and jaw. Then, I draw the eyes and nose and mouth and whatnot; then I draw the hair.

The thing is...those are for HUMAN faces. One of these is a robot, and the other is a cartoon clown, so I struggled to draw their rather peculiar faces because I was doing it in terms of a typical human face. I actually had to do the final step before the second step: first I drew the face "frame"/outline; THEN I drew the hair, as well as the bottom of the headgear. Drawing the bottom of Uzi's cap made me realize that her jaw isn't a jaw, so I had to erase a lot of things to widen her face because there isn't that connection between the back of the jaw and the neck—her entire head is resting on a single little stick-thing.

After that, I was able to put the facial features in relatively appropriate places on the face. I did have another hiccup with Pomni, though—I was struggling to draw her dopey little jester cap. I kept trying to start from the rim of the cap, but it just kept on looking too-wide and ugly. So instead, I drew the little ball thingies where I thought they would look good, then drew the curves of the stripes instead of first drawing the outline of the entire cap.

It took a lot of guess-and-check to get these guys' heads right! But everything else afterwards was relatively easy.
